Butterflies&Nyphaeas

Yesterday was an alright day. But Sydney can never make up it's mind when it comes to weather so half the day was crappy weathered and the other half was quite clear. In my time out the weather was muggy but  still I caught a few shots...actually I caught plenty of shots compared to other days. Usually I choose the one's that I think are alright and then put up my favourites but yesterday I had plenty of favourites and you can see them below :)

When I was walking around the Botanical Gardens I had noticed that there were so many butterflies. I never really took much notice of the butterflies on other occasions when I had passed by. I had also noticed that there were different butterflies that ate different flowers. I was ashamed when I noticed I didn't know any of the names of the butterflies.

As you can see this Butterfly is similar to the one above except on top the wings are white. I could say this was my favourite butterfly but they were all beautiful and I loved them all.

And here is a very different butterfly compared to the butterflies above. Now you can see how the different butterflies eat different flowers. I also like the way that the colour of the butterfly and flower are nice together.

Something else that I've always found pretty but never really looked at closely...Nyphaea's. Nymphaea's are a water lily and they come in some very beautiful colours.

After another day of photography I've noticed two beautiful features of the Botanical Gardens that I've probably walked past more than a million times. I never really understood why some people could get so carried away with photography but now I know. I find that as soon as I put my eye to that lense I'm in a completely other world...to me it's so weird. Anyway I hope you like my photography from yesterday :)

Another day out and about

Might as well start my posts off with "Dear diary" or maybe "Dear world" sounds better?. Today was a very weird day. I got a couple of shots that I really loved and the rest I didn't really favour much but my second mind thought that I should show them anyway. I took alot more photo's than I did yesterday and here they are...enjoy or don't enjoy...life's full of enjoyments and downs.

This photo and the next two are my favourite photo's of the day :)

They were taken in the Governor General of NSW's garden.

For people who think I have edited these in all honesty I have not edited these photo's a single bit. And yes I am very proud of myself for taking these photo's.

A photo taken from a hill in the Botanic Gardens. Personally I don't think much of this photo.

Some white droop flowers that I thought were artistic in a way :)

I had just sat down in the Botanic Gardens and spotted this couple. I thought they looked pretty cute from behind with the tree and statue so I snapped them in...with their permission of course.

I thought this was a pretty cool contrast between the trees: how they looked in the dark and in the light.

A view of the harbour prison...

A wharf crane in the Woolloomooloo Navy Base

The pretty artistic flowers again :)

Another view of Sydney Harbour from a different point in the Gardens.

The Sydney Conservatorium of Music...a place for people with the musical talent.

The Governor General's house....

Sydney Harbour...

The Ibis that posed for me as soon as it relized that I was taking a photo of him/her...decided to turn my photo's into a modelling shoot as Thyme did yesterday :D

Sydney Harbour Prison.

An art piece?

A new friend who I thought looked similar to Thyme...my good old garden buddy.

Apartment/houses situated right next to Sydney Harbour...they would cost a lot.

The sun peering through two tree branches :)

My new friend but not best garden friend :)

Sydney ferries

A Sydney to Hobart yacht.

The Prime Minister of Australia's (Julia Gillard) Sydney house.

Sorry Arachnophobics. This is spider friend :)

The Ibis that ran towards me and posed :P

Can you spot anything different about this tree? It's roots are above ground. Pretty fascinating to me.

The Harbour bridge.

Opera house.

So as you can see today has been quite a up and down day. Let me know what you think of my photo's... help me out a bit. As I said before I'm a beginner and I still have a lot to learn from myself and from others (hopefully). Overall today I've noticed some things that I've never really noticed in Sydney before...and I grew up here...sad.Also if you use my photo's (not that they're that good yet) can you at least give me some credit? Shanks. Yes that was Thanks with an 'S'.  Toodles peoples :)
